Market update as on 23 November 2016

Sensex:

            Today, the Sensex gained 91 points to close at 26051.81 up by 0.35%.

Nifty:

          Today, the Nifty also gained around 31 points to close at 8033.30 up by 0.39%.

Reason:

             After consolidation, the NSE Nifty managed to hold 8000 level for the second consecutive session ahead of expiry of November futures and options contracts tomorrow.

To ensure quick and unhindered flow of credit and cash to farmers during the current rabi season to deal with the ban of Rs 500/1000 notes, the government has allowed NABARD to disburse Rs 21,000 crore through co-operative banks to farmers.
